It just escapes me

I work at a hospital. Not too long ago I was in the basement of the building (the very basement) waiting for the elevator with another employee. When the elevator arrived, the employee and I stepped on. She looked directly at me and asked, "Going up?"

I can only hope she didn't have access to medications or the cardiac jumper cables.
